DJI Inspire 1 Dual Control Quad-copter with 4K Camera Review

A set of powerful FPV equipment can undoubtedly enhance aerial effect. Today, I’m going to introduce DJI Inspire 1, the best FPV quadcopter released at the end of 2014. Equipped with splendid all-inclusive devices, it will keep ranking the hottest topics in 2015. The RTF configuration seems faultless on overall configuration. Hereinafter I’ll take a general review towards the all-in-one as well as all-inclusive FPV quadcopter.

Adopting transformable carbon fiber arms, DJI Inspire 1 looks quite different from phantom series quadcopter in appearance. When taking off, the arms will instantly change into “V” body, thus hobbyists can reach 360º unobstructed photography. When it’s ready to land, the quadcopter will automatically lower its arms into inverted “V” body, working as the landing gear to protect downward-facing camera.

The DJI Inspire 1 Camera shoots 4K video at 24p and 30p as well as HD video frame rates from 24p to 60p, featuring a 1/2. 3" CMOS sensor with a 94-degree FOV lens. And the field of view works out about 20mm in 35mm equivalent, which gives you wide but not extremely wide or fisheye framing. Besides, you’re allowed to change all camera settings, including ISO, white balance, exposure and so on to ensure every shot looks exactly what you want!

Equipped with GPS module, the quadcopter can undoubtedly ensures accurate and precise position hold. But how about flying indoor? Well, DJI’s Optical Flow technology uses a specially designed camera as well as sonic waves to provide the same stability indoors as GPS does outdoors. This technology allows DJI Inspire 1 to hold its location, and it will stop when the control is released. It can quickly response to your commands when GPS is unavailable.

Transmitter always plays the vital role while photographing. As for DJI Inspire 1, it provides hobbyists with intelligent transmitter equipped with folding LCD monitor which is easy to take and carry. Integrated with light-bridge system, the transmitter allows you to real-time enjoy 1080p video at the distance over one mile. The video and picture you take can be stored, thus you can replay is when photographing is finished.

It’s better for you to control DJI Inspire 1 with your friend, cause it actually supports dual transmitters. Since you’re making professional photography, you don’t need deal with very detail by yourself. One pilot may control the flight path while the other aims the gimbal and camera. Each user can respectively monitor what is real-time being shot. Installing the mobile APP into your phone or tablet, you’ll have access to what Inspire 1 sees.
